Maryam Hashemi is a multidisciplinary artist based in London. After finishing her BA Degree in Graphic Design in 2002 she left Tehran and migrated to the UK. Since settling in London she has been active as an artist also exploring modelling, acting and performance.

Her paintings are rooted in her upbringing in Iran and layered with a mesh of magic and fantasy which is inspired by her colourful everyday life. They are windows to other dimensions and worlds within her. The viewers are encouraged to extract their own meanings and unique connections as the works create ongoing deep dialogues with anyone that interacts with them.
